PAMPAS TOUR 3 D& 2 N STANDARD

Day 1. 08:30- 11:30    Be ready at the office in Rurrenabaque.

We will travel in a jeep 4×4 from Rurrenabaque to Santa Rosa. During the trip you will be able to see heron families, sloths and lest of flora and fauna.

Hrs. 11:30- 13:00Lunch will be served in Santa Rosa.

Board in a motorized dugour canoe in Santa Rosa salling the Yacuma river for 3 hours aproximately. During this navigation of this wildlife rich river you will be able to observe a large variety of reptils and anphibians, lizards, cocodriles, turtles, black spider, monkeys, capybaras, storks, kingfishers, falcons, hawks and eagles. One and one half hour night sailing trip by canoe in search of caiman and anacondas to observe how the eyes of these wildlife animals shine at night.

Day 2. 07:00- 08:00    Breakfast

Hrs. 8:00- 12:00Morning hike trough the pampas to reach some small

lagoons and river where you can see anacondas, shakes. You will observe  some eagles in

search of their food, usually there is a vast selection of tropical plants and  flowers amongst them wild orchids like the (Queen Victoria)

Hrs. 12:00- 13:30Lunch and break. Board a canoe for exploration of this wildlife rich river,

experience pink dolphins you´ll have a chance to swim with them.

Day 3. 07:00-8:00       Breakfast

Hrs. 08:00-11:30We will travel by canoe on the Yacuma river until we reach some small

forest islands along the shores you will see wild geese neotropical cormorants,

tucans,caimans, sloths, you can practice sport fishing.

Hrs. 11:30- 12:30        Lunch

Hrs. 12:30- 14:00        To return to Santa Rosa we will sail the Yacuma river.

Hrs. 14:00- 17:00        The trip from Santa Rosa to Rurrenabaque is going to be made by jeep 4×4.

Day 1. After meeting up with your guide in Rurrenabaque and loading up your gear on a 4×4 jeep you will travel throughout the morning until we reach the Caracoles Lodge on the shores of the Yacuma river. Here you will have lunch before departing along the river in a motorized canoe to observe the abundant wildlife in the area. Caimans, alligators, different species of monkey, capybaras, turtles and many many types of bird can all be spotted during this excursion. The day is relaxing, mostly spent in the boat and you are sure to see lots of animals.

Day 2.Today you will go for a morning walk in the wetlands in search of anacondas and hopefully your guide will find one of these enourmous snakes to show to the group. The walk is not a strenuous one and afterwards you will return to the lodge for lunch and a siesta. In the afternoon there will be time to fish for piranhas and to take a swim with the pink river dolphins – a memorable experience. After todays evening meal there is the chance to go on a night trip to search for caimans and other noctural wildlife.

Day 3. This morning the group will travel by boat to an area where a lot of squirrel monkeys can be observed. Along the way your guide will also point out other wildlife from the boat. At lunch time we return to the lodge for our last meal at Caracoles and say good bye to the staff of the lodge before heading back to Rurrenabaque arriving at around 16.30 (on time if having a late flight back to La Paz).
